Little sum up made by basing myself on the novel:
The battle continues between Atou and the enemy's general. Or should I say the battle between a Strategy/management game and a RPG? This distinction is quite important. The reason is simple: In Strategy games, usually heroes/generals are quite powerful units, capable of fighting against a small army by themselves, can improve themselve by getting xp, ... etc... But in RPGs, enemies need to be able to get killed by the hero/protagonist. Moreover enemies will have the determined moveset and won't be able to improve themselves. No lvling up and no getting new abilities as well while the hero/protagonist is busy elsewhere.
So with that, you could believe that RPG special units can't defeat Strategy games heroes/general... and the problem is that games follow their own set of rules. As she comes from a Strategy game, Atou is more fit to fight against a large group. However it doesn't mean that the enemy can't do anything either. RPGs have some special attacks (among other things) after all. And during the fight, the enemy uses his special attack: An attack that can not be evaded / blocked = force the player to be able to facetank it. Atou didn't expect that so she gets hurt. Thankfully for her, she did some lvling, collecting skills before so she doesn't die and strikes back at the general's enemy, telling him a "Die". As he's going to get killed, the poor enemy finally remembers that his fate was always to get slained by the hero/protagonist in the game and now that he's defenseless after using his special attack, he dies.
After the enemy general's death, the native creatures run away, effectively marking the end of the battle as the city will now be able to survive. While they might still have to fight against the few, unorganized monsters that might still arrive, it's nothing compared to fighting against an army. As for Atou, she's only angry that she got hit. So in order to calm herself, she calls her dear master/MC in order to report the good news, hoping to receive some praises. Sadly for her, she only learns that Mynoghra is under attack (by the second enemy general that we saw a few chapters ago).
In conclusion, we'll soon see Isla fight.
