Description

Leon, a former Japanese worker, was reincarnated into an “otome game” world, and despaired at how it was a world where females hold dominance over males. It was as if men were just livestock that served as stepping stones for females in this world. The only exceptions were the game’s capture targets, a group of ikemen led by the crown prince. In these bizarre circumstances, Leon held one weapon. He has knowledge from his previous world, where his brazen sister had forced him to complete this game. Leon, who really just wants to to live as a shut-in in the countryside, uses that knowledge to unexpectedly raise a ferocious revolt against the women and ikemen. The curtains begin for an exhilarating fantasy about overtaking the fiendish heroine.

I really f-in hate Marie here. Her entire dialogue is a load of horsesh*t if you consider the fact of the list of things she did in her previous life. She abused her brother emotionally and physically for monetary gain. She even went so far as to threaten him with falsified claims just so he'd play the stupid game, despite knowing fully well he's over-exhausted from constant work and having to deal with her sh*t.

Not to mention, MC's last message to his parents exposed her other evil deeds towards their own parents that she constantly did to them behind their backs, just so she could continue getting their favor and money and live her bourgeois life with her "friends". Even after MC died she never changed. (Details withheld) She continued her happy-go-lucky lifestyle without regard for her direct family, like a continuous downward spiral as she does whatever she wants regardless of the effects to the people around her. This, going so far as for it to end up with her life and her own family's life in a horrible way.

And here we see her protecting Hertrude with the reasoning "Because she feels like wants to do it so let her!" How stupid. She knew the price of using that flute. She knew the price of war. She chose that and now she lost everything as a result. Now she wants to mess everything up like a petulant child lashing out at the consequences of her own actions. And then she calls the concerns of Livia and Angelica "empty words" just because she doesn't like the character in the game. Goes to show that Marie really doesn't have any actual care towards other people's lives. She only spoke up because she saw herself in Hertrude at the time, and because she constantly feels like she's a victim when it's all her fault in the first place.

If I recall, they did show she was this psychopathic even as a child. She would cry and stop walking because she understood even then that eventually somebody/the MC would eventually have to give up and go back and carry her on his back. That somebody would have to clean up her mess for her. And she would do that because she just doesn't want to walk back home even though the source of the trouble was her in the first place. This was honestly one of the worst parts of the novel too as from how she is characterized, it seems it never really gets resolved.

Their entire country is a piece of ****. Heres a simple summation of why this whole war is going on:

MCs country (the kingdom) has local Lords each with their own territories, just like with MCs father, and the stupid princes friends families.

One of the Lords back then decided to get greedy and so declared his own territory as his own independent Dukedom, THEN he raided and massacred (everybody, including innocent people) all nearby territories next to his own so he can steal their floating lands and crystals for his own powers growth.

The Kingdom obviously cannot allow such terrorism and invasion to happen so they struck back against the Lords forces and the Lords self-proclaimed Dukedom lost.

As reparations for all the damage hes done, the Lords country is charged with debt to repay for all of it. Also, to prevent another incident like this, a new Lord territory was stationed next to the Dukedom. This is the birth of the family of one of the stupid princes friends.

Since the Lord of the Dukedom is greedy af, they cannot accept the fact that they lost and failed to take over the country, so they instead decided to brainwash all the people still in the Dukedom with re-education instead. They teach everybody there--starting from childhood, that the Kingdom is greedy and is stealing money and resources (the reparations the f*cker owes the Kingdom basically) from the people of the Dukedom because they are plain evil as a country using the kingdoms military might to threated the Dukedom, so they have no choice but to pay. But its all a lie. They got greedy, killed a lot of people, now they have to pay for their crimes even if they dont want to. Period.

Years upon years pass with the Dukedom constantly trying to undermine the Kingdom and we reach the present.

In other words, their entire Dukedom is like that. Full of greedy, stupid, and brainwashed people who create problems on their own and then when the consequences come to bite them in the face, they blame somebody else for the consequences of their own actions.
