Might be interesting because our MC Asterisk is native of world, while the reincarnator Garret is placed as supporting character. Its easier to write him as competent character compared to having him as the PoV character. Checked the WN and its a one-shot (approx 19k characters). So it only focus on the condemnation scene and the epilogue (although not as much deep character development as Akuyaku Reijou no Kyoji). So the story went fast despite Asterisk having 5 years between meeting Garret and the engagement annulation.   The LN seems to expand what happened between, but also shorten the time period into just 1 year.
