'Sousui' is closer to 'founder', no? (Meaning that he started up the Magic Guild from scratch and was far from some ordinary 'master'.)

Sousui translates to Commander-in-Chief/leader/head of a group of companies/founder. It's mainly used for militaristic/combat related implications. Although yes, based on my experience with Japanese and my JP language professor (an actual Japanese), Sousui in particular is most often used to refer to "Founder" in context. Shachou or Kaichou in a sense also implies "chief" positions in a similar way, but it's mostly used for business-related contexts. The "Sou" in Sousui denotes "whole/all/entire/overall". Japanese seems to like to use different words for a similar position to differentiate between "fields", just like how they use different numerators when counting based on the object's general shape and size (e.g. for the number when counting "one" of something: Ik-ko, Ichi-mai, Hitotsu, Hitori)
