I genuinely dislike any type of "face your inner demon" trope as skill. It ignores the character's resolve to push through those and survived this far and carve their own path and paint them sort of fragile etc and then they "all" overcome the hurdle again to become more determined and stronger mentally. Anyway, that's my rant.
