Sum up of the chapter (made by basing myself on the novel):
After waking up, MC realizes that "the dream he was in" isn't over yet. He's still in the romantic comedy manga that he loved and is the best friend of the main character of the said manga (who happens to have the same name). Now, he also has the memory of that character as well (that's why he was able to come back home the day before).
Thinking that "it's nothing but a dream" is also the reason why he did such a passionate confession to his favorite character / the losing heroine Sei Shimada. His confession was sincere, those were his true feelings. But he would have never do it like that if he knew that it wasn't just a dream. He's now a character of the romantic comedy manga. So he's embarrassed by what he has done / said.
His little sister enters the room as she's waiting for him (in the novel: She's waiting for him as he's the one who brings her to the school with his bike). As their parents are working all the time, she's the one in charge of making food. Oh... And she's also one of the "losing heroine" / character that fall in love in the original story but fail to obtain any major role. Well, for now, she has yet to even met the other guy so no "falling in love" & "no being sad for her" yet. After calling her "cute", saying that he would always support her, they go to school.
There, we met his best friend: Yuuchi Shigemoto, the main character of the original story. The said character then asks for his help concerning the future date.
