So, in other word, the real form of this dungeon boss is the embarassing memories from someone's chuuni days? Mercedes did thought the world operate like a game. It would still make sense if revealed it's just product of someone's chuuni phase. I wonder if Mercedes would ask for her memories to be erased after finding out that pathetic truth though.

During their practice, Benkei finally win, although he wouldn't accept it. Mercedes wore magic crystals she filled with gravity magic, effectively weighing her down as handycap. Benkei also commented, sword is no longer sufficient for her. Weapon that focus on using brute strength like axe or warhammer would be more effective. Mercedes agreed, those would be advantaged with her gravity magic, and it would help cover her lack of reach. Meanwhile, Benkei could also have more protection since he is not good with ranged fight. Kuro is good enough already with his speed-focused style, but he wants to join, so Mercedes said she will buy claw sharpener.

In town, she saw a merchant selling canned chocolate. The product is famous, and while the general public is doubtful (they live in town, so they don't need to have the chocolate for long time storage), the merchant tells about how they better buy before the price went up. Mercedes told them, canned chocolate are mass produced, so the price are stable. Also it would be cheaper if they buy from the main store.

After that incident with massacre of B rank Seeker party, their "beginner" dungeon got classified as B rank, and thus all the quest rank are being reclassified. Mercedes also got promoted to C rank.

Margit's drawing sold for high price as the visual information is really useful. They have many powerful seekers, but most of them are illiterate, so there are often trouble because they can't have the exact information about the monster or materials they're supposed to hunt for. It reminds Mercedes again, many people are illiterate in this world.

Mercedes gave part of the illustration's sale to Margit for her to pay for her debt and living expense. Mercedes won't take Margit to the dungeon again as it has became more dangerous and her cousin also have to take care of her sick mother. In exchange, Mercedes gave her book to learn writing. Just by being literate, Margit could get job as scribe, it's a safe and stable source of income for her because they can't depend on their father and family.

Benkei (the orc) told Mercedes she's kind, but his master said she just don't want to carry burden of someone else. Yet, it's not like she even need to help in the first place.

From last part, Mercedes fellow children from concubine came for a plan. The familys heir, Felix, intend to make a show of power in his coming of age party. He will defeat the other children to show he is above. Its just a vampire thing.

Boris, the eldest of the concubines children act as the boss, saying they will defeat Felix and he will be the head of the family. The plan is, let Gottfried, the big guy, to tire Felix, then Mercedes and Marguite will use blow dart to help Boris wins the duel.

Mercedes instantly lose interest. The plan is stupid as they don know how strong their enemy is, and Boris is a coward who won dare to dirty his own hand, not the person she would follow. Mercedes and Marguite are in weakest position as they e the least related to the main family, so if the blow dart incident is found out as cheating, Boris will just put the blame on them. In that respect, Felix who openly challenge everyone in a duel is still more respectable as candidate for family head.

Marguite is not in position to refuse though. Her mother is sick, and she had to borrow money. Mercedes thought, shes lucky to have past life knowledge and her challenger mentality, else she wouldve been in the same position.

To solve Marguites problem, she asks what the girl is good with. Because there are monsters living near her home, Marguite, who is illiterate, is used to drawing monsters for filing extermination request. Seeing the quality, Mercedes took her to the dungeons to make illustrations of the monsters there. Unlike illustrations of the common monsters Marguite used to draw, illustration of dungeon monsters should catch a good price.
